Nigel started with H&C as the Managing Director in the summer of 1998. Having gained many years in the property industry, the opportunity came to revitalise Cardiff’s longest standing residential estate agency, and this was one challenge not to be missed.
Mike was appointed a Director in 2016 after initially joining H&C in 2012, and has over 14 years of industry experience. After studying Business in Bristol, Mike moved back home to Cardiff to pursue a career in estate agency. He has a passion for photography and can often be seen with an SLR camera slung over his shoulder.
Rhodri Humphreys is the Area Manager at Hern & Crabtree and has been with us since 2015, joining us after a 15-year spell at a competitor Agency. Rhodri was brought into the business to bring more structure, without spoiling the key elements that helped to build our excellent reputation.
Owen Llewellyn is our Branch Manager for Llandaff, the area in which he also grew up. Having worked in the property industry for over 10 years, there aren’t many positions he hasn’t held.
Joanne is a Senior Sales Negotiator at Hern & Crabtree and is also a valuer for our Llandaff branch. Joanne has worked in estate agencies for an impressive 30 years, and we are proud that the last 8 of those have been with us.
Denise Dobson is a Sales Negotiator at our Llandaff branch and has been with us for the past 9 years. Her main duty is to help run a tight ship, concentrating on the administration side of the office, which she certainly does.
Harry Roberts is a Sales Negotiator at our Llandaff branch, and is one of the few newer members of the team. Before joining Hern & Crabtree, Harry worked in Deloitte for 4 years, and at a local accountants prior to that.
Gareth Pocknell joined the Hern & Crabtree team at the end of 2020 and has quickly become an integral part our Whitchurch office. Gareth brings with him 7 years of industry experience and property knowledge.
Gavin Sheppard is a Property Consultant at our Heath branch and brings with him 16 years of experience. A seasoned and trusted agent, Gavin even once appeared on BBC One's Rhod Gilberts Work Experience as well as X-Ray with Lucy Owen, giving property advice and training.
Annemarie Winks is a Sales Negotiator at our Heath branch and among one of our most experienced team members, with 31 years of experience under her belt. Annemarie says: “Working at Hern & Crabtree is like no other estate agents that I've worked for".
Amy McDonough is a Sales Negotiator at our Heath branch and has been in the Estate Agency business for over 19 years, the last three of those spent here with us.
Amberley Haynes is a Sales Negotiator at our Whitchurch branch and brings with her experience, organisation and creativity, having worked at family run agency previously and achieving a degree in Advertising Design.
Alfie is a Sales Negotiator at our Heath branch; he joined us in 2023. He’s worked in the industry since 2021 and brought experience from Lettings and sales in New Homes with him to Hern & Crabtree. Alfie loves property and people so combined it’s a great fit.

Anna is the trusted Manager of our busy Pontcanna branch. Having joined us in 2015 Anna brings with her a wealth of experience from her 24-year career as an Estate Agent.
Gina joins us in 2021 as a Sales Progression Manager and brings with her many years of industry experience. Gina has a wealth of property knowledge and will be working alongside Jan Street in Sales Progression. Mitchell James is our Negotiator based in the Pontcanna Office. Mitchell is very popular with clients and the team, having joined the team at the start of 2019. He has been a fundamental part of the branch’s impressive growth that has led to a move to a larger new office, and helped establish the office as the number one sales office in the area. Mitchell is very personable, and highly skilled with an exceptional eye for pairing client with properties.
Natalya Hayward joined the Hern & Crabtree team at the start of 2023 and has made herself an indispensable part of the H&C family. Natalya has successfully completed the Level 3 Certificate for Sales and Lettings Agents (CELA) and is primarily office based, helping to ensure the smooth running of the Pontcanna Office. Before joining Hern & Crabtree, Natalya worked in Finance & Accounting for 6 years leading to her rare fondness for excel spreadsheets!
Jan Street is our trusted Sales Progression Manager and has been with us for an impressive 14 years and has worked as an estate agent nearing 30! Jan says: “Having worked for Hern & Crabtree for 14 years I have watched the company grow but still maintain its core values".

Adele McMullen is an experienced Lettings Negotiator at Hern & Crabtree, bringing with her over 25 years’ experience in the industry.
Georgia has been a part of the Hern & Crabtree team since the start of 2023 and is based in our lettings team in Pontcanna. Georgia brought two years of estate agency experience and knowledge with her from a previous role. Georgia is often out and about on viewings and is always easily approachable with a smile on her face and when based in the office, provides a friendly point of contact for tenants and landlords. Georgia’s ideal home offers a spacious south facing garden perfect for hosting BBQ’s and sunbathing!
Laura Taylor-Tudor joined the lettings team at Hern & Crabtree in October 2023 and you will often see her whizzing around Cardiff carrying out inspections, Inventories and the occasional viewing! Laura has brought 20 years in Estate Agency with her to Hern & Crabtree and is always on hand to fill in any gaps with knowledge. Laura enjoys brunching with friends and reading a book in the sun!
Anna Lewis joined the Hern & Crabtree family in September 2023 and has since become a strong part of the lettings team running day to day! From taking phone calls from tenants, landlord and applicants to instructing maintenance and creating a plethora of spreadsheets for all things Lettings! Anna adores her fluffy child Cooper and will always welcome any dogs in the office with a smile and a treat.
Julie has worked as Hern and Crabtree’s account manager for close to 15 years, ensuring that behind the scenes run like clockwork.
